I had a couple of spare bodies and wanted to make use of them, by creating the chassis it meant that we modellers could have either a Loco sat in the depot making it look even prettier or even running a double headed train on your layout without having to buy 2 motorised loco's.
The bogie side frames have detail a plenty, and Rapido style sprung coupling pockets allowing you to couple to another locomotive should you wish to for double heading, or for a dead in tow locomotive.
Graham Farish by Bachmann Class 24

The Class 31 chassis that I have created fits all types of Graham Farish class 31 bodies, whether 5-pole, split chassis or the newer body with lighting. The chassis is a nice tight fit inside and the upright bulkheads are there to allow for the correct ride height, If you wish to fit the old Poole Farish body you'll need to cut off the outer ends (cab floor after the bulkheads). The chassis also comes with large fuel tanks. The chassis kit comes with 2 bogies with retaining pins, 6 wheels, 4 buffers and 2 couplings with springs.
